FSTC Europe provides the B787 Type Rating course according to EASA regulations.

Entry Requirements for EASA License holders

  • 70 hours as a pilot-in-command of airplanes
  • Valid ME, IR (multi-engine, instrument rating)
  • Valid CPL (ATPL theory) or ATPL
  • Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate
  • MCC certificate of completion
  • English level 4 according to ICAO requirements

For ICAO License holders


In case the trainee is an ICAO License Holder, other than EASA, the Pre-Entry requirements will be according to their own License Issued Authority Regulations.

The MCC/JOT course can either be integated in your type rating course (please see training footprint) or it can be performed in an FNTP II simulator during your theoretical training.  

 

B787 Facts you should know

  • The Boeing 787 Dreamliner is a long-haul, widebody, twin-engine jetliner, which features light-weight construction. 
  • The B787 is the first major commercial airplane to have a composite fuselage, composite wings, and use composites in most other airframe components
  • The B787-8 is designed to typically seat 234 passengers in a three-class setup, 240 in two-class domestic configuration, and 296 passengers in a high-density economy arrangement.
  • Boeing expects to build, possibly in the 2018-2023 timeframe, a B787 freighter version.
  • There were 554 Boeing 787 aircraft in airline service as of July 2017, comprising 331 787-8s and 223 787-9s.
